The DNA of Stronger With You
The original Emporio Armani Stronger With You was released in 2017 as an Eau de Toilette. It was composed by perfumer Cécile Matton, who reimagined one of the most classic themes in men's perfumery – the fougère. Instead of the usual soapy freshness, however, she made the fougère sweet and cosy.
The opening is spicy-fresh: cardamom, pink pepper and violet leaves. At the heart sits sage – an aromatic, slightly herbal note that keeps the composition from becoming too sweet. The base is the line's trademark: vanilla and a candied chestnut accord (marron glacé), with a light smoky tint. It is this chestnut that makes the fragrance so recognisable – sweet, but dry and "roasted" rather than sugary.
